Rentjewels.com - a portal where buyers can rent designer jewelry online
The concept of rentjewels.com is a unique one that provides customers with the option to rent jewelry online from the site itself. Our project for Taruna Biyani included an extension of her portal so that a set of her products could be rented to buyers.
What were our challenges?
Our aim was to create a platform that would allow buyers to book limited-edition jewelry pieces. To rent a jewelry piece, the renter had to pay both a booking fee and a security deposit.It was important to the admin that buyers be able to sort, search, or rent products based on the category and the period they choose.
The Resolution
Admins were provided with a website that allowed them to manage their daily product listings, deactivate products, click here and process orders.The system recorded who bought what and how long it would take to return it.A list of expiration dates and automatic reminders were provided to clients and administrators.In the event of a delay in return, the system automatically recalculated the amount due from the buyer.
